Explanation / Answer

Answer : 60%

Method :

We want to find what is the percentage of English faculty having 15 or more years of service.

First we find total number of faculties in English department by adding frequency of each bin of the histogram. Therefore, total number of faculties in english dept = 5+8+7+8+4+8+10= 50.

Now to get the number of faculties who serve more than 15 years, we add frequencies of all those bins which are right to 15 in the histogram. Therefore, number of faculties who serve 15 years or more = 8+4+8+10 = 30.

Hence, percentage of faculties serving 15 or more years = (30*100) / (50) = 60%.
