Question
I am planning on running a factorial experiment for research purposes, however I am unsure of if my experiment is a 3x2 or 2x2x2 or other type of factorial experiment. My independent variables are as follows, where they will be manipualted to see whether some or all of them influence my dependent variable.
My independent variables:
1. team named being: X. Y.
2. Team: winning. losing.
3. stadium atmosphere: full stadium (excitable) + visual being full. empty stadium (no atmosphere) + visual being empty
I am not sure if number 3 would then be additional variables, due to having text explaining stadium atmosphere and visuals.
Explanation / Answer
Here you should go for 23 factorial experiment. You have 3 factors each having two levels. So, 23 factorial experiment should be perfect in this case. You should take 3rd variable as an additional variable.
