Negotiation is the skill inculcate under the individual right from the time he entered this world. We negotiate with our family, friends, teachers, etc., at times. Some examples like – with Family – if I scored 90% in class you will get me a scooter.

When the audience is dependent upon the negotiators while negotiating, it gives them strength as well as sense of accountability and loyalty that they have for the audience. Take an example for elaborating the above headline when the audience is dependent on negotiator. Suppose here the audience are employees of the Organization working in a team and negotiator is the team leader who must negotiate with senior boss or management for appraisal of his team members.

Now here since the team is reporting to the leader, they expect him to be tough and strong will power to get the desired figures for his team. Now the negotiator must put forward his team expectations clearly and get the desired result. He will present the performance reports of each of his employee to proof the fact of their deserving candidature. He will present the figures offered in other industry to same level and experience employees and explain the importance of motivation among employees.

He will explain and negotiate in such a way that management will think and can relate the benefit of organization with the benefit of employees together. Like if you will increase and pay better to employees, it ultimately influences them to work more efficiently and effectively to get the same percentage next year also.
