Since there is a direct realtion betwwe the wage and the education, you can support the paper with excel sheet , but you can also use Various tests e.g T-test to validate it. And ofcourse the simplest tools of mean and standard deviations can be used.

Also you can use statistic softwares like SQL, MiniTab, ANOVA etc.
