z = TC = 5.5x1 + 6x2

To maximise Z, subject to x1 + x 2 >=12000and

x1 <= 8000

x2 <= 6000

Consider the critical points (8000,4000) (6000,6000)

For I one z = 5.5(8000)+36000 = 80000

For II z = 69000

z is minimum for x1 =6000 and x2 =6000
