Some administrators at the college are concerned that women are being discriminated against in being allowed admittance, particularly in the business program. Below, you will find two contingency tables that show the percentage of students admitted by gender to the English program and the Business school. The data has also been presented graphically. What do the data and graphs indicate?

Business Program:

Tha data and the graph indicates that a smaller percentage of women are being admitted to the business program.Only 30.8% of the women are admitted to the business program as compared to 35.9% of men.

Similarly only only 34.6% of all applicants are admitted to business program, however 46.5% are admitted for english programme.

Thus males should say something about being discriminated against in being admitted to the English program.
