1. America is relatively a new country with a mix of different ethnic groups. It progressed quickly and shaped up its economy, society and national culture. World War I left most of the countries shapeless and hopeless. Although the reforms introduced by the then president Roosevelt after World War I helped the country revive, it was after World War II, most of the economic reforms started to yield fruits. American economy was the best economy when compared to their contemporary countries after the world War. The 1944 GI Bill of rights provided back up for the soldiers and their families by pumping more money that helps them progress gradually.
During the 1960s, the civil war and Vietnam war brought more changes but the quest for individual freedom and free market economy helped people prosper further. Equal rights for other ethnic groups also played a major role during this period.
Women empowerment brought sea of changes into he way they were treated at home, society and workplace. The progressive women made in attaining their rights boosted the economic and social progress.
All these were very important for America as a whole country to establish their prominence and dominance on a global scale.
2. The result of globalisation and industrialization has brought more unemployment and a feel of insecurity among the American youngsters. That's why satisfying this population remains a huge challenge for the policy makers. The free flow of labour affects the opportunities of the American youngsters.
There are other issues such as, better education, drug addiction etc. That threaten the prospects of the youth.
3. Free Market is a system where the demand, supply, price etc. are determined by the individuals or companies without any intervention from the government. This has greatly affected People who are economically poor and cannot afford to buy products and services at a high cost set by the monopoly market. It has also brought in more job insecurity in the labour market because there is no one to control them and in reality these multinational corporations control the governments through their donations and bribery.
