Honest:
A person decides to follow someone because he thinks that the leader has a great personality and he has the ability to make a change in the society. So it requires honesty from the follower because he should be true to his leader and follow his ideologies.
Example: A person following a political leader needs to make sure that he follows every ideology and beliefs of the leader. He should not deviate from those ideologies under any circumstances and this shows that he is a very honest follower.
Competent:
A follower should know why he is following someone and he should be able to defend himself in case if there is any problem with respect to the ideologies of the leader he is following. He should be competent enough to prove why is following the right leader and why it is the right choice.
Example: A follower reads everything about the leader and he is aware of all the positives an negative. He might have to answer someone when there is something against the person he is following.
Dependable:
The follower should be dependable because the situation will not remain the same and it keeps changing. The follower needs to know how to take responsibilities and not let his leader down in any case.
The leader is not able to attend an important event and the follower is ready to take the responsibility and attend the event on behalf of his leader. He will follow the instructions of his leader and complete the work successfully.
Cooperative:
The follower should know how to be a good team player and work with other. For a leader, there will be a lot of followers like him and it is important for the follower to work with other followers in coordination with the leader.
Example: The follower creates an initiative and he asks other followers to join him in the work. They work together and make the initiative a success without any problems.
Loyal:
The follower should be loyal even when the leader is in trouble and facing some serious consequences. Some followers change the side and move to a different team when they see new opportunities. This will not happen with a loyal follower.
Example: The follower will not change a political party when the leader loses in the election and move to a different party that won in the elections.
