Explanation / Answer

1. The article aims to investigate the psychological and legal components of bullying and cyberbullying. It is hypothesised that there is a lack of clarity as to how bullying and cyberbullying are considered in mental health assessments. Also, whether current legal solutions for these are effective and relevant is debatable.

2. The study is a qualitative study and is correlational. The IV is bullying and cyberbullying and the DV is psychological and legal consequences. The participants include five practitioner psychologists and four lawyers in the United Kingdom (UK).

3. There was no operationalisation of the variable in this study as this was a qualitative study.

4. The final results of the study indicate that several psychological and legal interventions need to be adapted and implemented immediately to tackle bullying and therefore recommends revisions in the current clinical psychological practices and assessments, and the legal policies regarding bullying and cyberbullying.
