Question
can someone help me get started on this interpersonal communications assignment. it is due in a week and i am struggling to come up with a position and an expected violation..?
Choose a position you hold and reflect on the associated role. Violate one of the expectations associated with this role by doing something atypical (please do not do something outrageous or offend anyone). Your expectancy violation can be verbal, nonverbal, or associated with listening – or some combination of those. This paper should be written in two stages. First, describe what you plan to do and how this represents a violation. Next, write what reactions you anticipate from those around you. Then carry out the violation and carefully note responses. Describe how people reacted, as well as your own feelings while doing the exercise. • Your paper should have the following organization: o 1st paragraph: Introduction (thesis/preview statement, describe your position and role) o 2nd paragraph: Describe your violation and anticipated responses (why is what you’re doing a violation?) o 3rd - ? paragraphs: Conclude by reflecting on one of the four things we know about roles from our text (pgs. 162-163). Does it ring true with your experience or not? • Please keep in mind the guidelines for successful Com 130 writing assignments.

You may elaborate the answer based on personal views or your classwork if necessary. Also, I have only answered the first 2 paragraphs, you may write the concluding paragraph in context to what is printed on pages 162-163 of your textbook.
(Answer) The scenario: Professor John Doe has given the class group assignments. Each group has a week to search for content, edit it and turn it into a comprehensive PowerPoint and also a hard copy to be bound at submitted. Professor Doe has handed out a reasonable topic and allotted a reasonable amount of work that can easily be accomplished by a group of 4 members. The only catch is that Professor Doe hates tardiness. If he has asked for the submission to be on a Wednesday at 6 pm, he will not accept the assignment if it is submitted at 6:01 pm onwards.
The violation: Your team has been well on time in gathering data, editing and even starting the PowerPoint and hardcopy. The data would simply have to be bridged with the content that you have to contribute and added to the PPS and printout.
Since you have football practice (or any other extracurricular), you fail to fulfill your responsibility and you disappoint your team.
As a result, your entire team forfeits their scores and everyone is equally punished despite it being completely your fault. Your team does not snitch on you but, is very angry at your lack of responsibility.
