Explanation / Answer

A social media and personalised experience is something that I would be guranteeing my customers. It would be an optional but a meaningful add on is what I would be having on offer, it is essentially a whole social network redefined.

The user would need to scan a bar code which is on their respective tables, it is optional to provide their email address and social media page, but providing the same would ensure a better service based on their preferences and also would give them an entry into the daily lottery (1-10% discount on the bill) next time they visit the place.

The customer will be provided with multiple channels, which are essentially cuisines, and once he enters into any one of them, the user would be provided with a twitter/messaging where the user would be in contact with the chef/assistant to the chef, where his preferences for the dish are discussed if required.

The email and social media data would be enough to know his/her important occassions, and the database management would be consolidated in such a way that current date anniversaries are populated on a screen in the restaurant in a greeting fashion.

If the user is not into providing such details, then they would be on the list of common occassions such as festivals and days of celebration such as new year etc.

A tablet with a touch display would be on the exit gate where the customer is asked for feedback on a 5 pointer scale and would have a beautiful UI display for the same.

Hence the data collection and at the same time catering to the customer for a personalised experience would be taken care of.

The user also has an option to order the food while coming to the restaurant so that he is greeted with food directly instead of waiting after placing the order. And the cusotomer has an option to speak to the chef about something not on the menu or something that interested him/her online that he/she wants to taste.
