Explanation / Answer

I was stuck with the definition of Critical thinking itself, the three key words of the definition, skills, worldview and values. The author says that in order to understand critical thinking better it’s really important to understand what it is made up of. One of the major things about critical thinkers is that they are all skeptics who doubt everything.

Skills – Critical thinking requires higher order thinking skills such as analyzing, evaluating, synthesizing, interpreting etc. So, if people are able to look at things and think at these higher cognitive dimensional levels, they have started.

Worldview – Critical thinkers are aware of the world around them better and they also know that people are different, situations are different and there is no uniform conclusion.

Values – Critical thinkers not only apply reasoning but also use their value system to judge things and come to a conclusion.
