Miami is present on the south eastern part of US. The area of Miami is the 8th populated and the 4th largest area in US. In Miami, what is most respected is the ethnic identity of a person. Ethnic identity is where a person has a feeling of belonging together and thus helps in creation of a better psychological health. Miami has shown heterogeneity with Asians, Hispanics, blacks, whites, all coexisting in the state together. Why Miami is unique is because of the origin of the country. In US history, the identity of the city was in conjugation to another country.

The city is fairly young, where it has been incorporated in the year 1896. There was a time, when Miami was known to be having the highest rate of murder, with drugs and corrupt things. One of the greatest influences in shaping of the culture in Miami is the Cuban culture. This is the second largest city in US where there is presence of the Spanish speaking population. The dominant culture is Cuban, since there was an inflow of Cuban immigrants that resulted in creation of a new city. When approached first, for a visitor, the initial language might be Spanish, as that is the most spoken language and English might be spoken later.

The dominant is food and the passion and warmth that the Cubans have for their culture. There are a number of festivals celebrated making the streets full of life and colourful. There is rich culture displayed in theatres as well as museums. There is a dominant Cuban American culture. The education system is bilingual. Yes, Miami is post racial in the sense that people of different ethnicities are not treated differently and it doesnt matter what race or ethnicity they are from.
