Explanation / Answer
XYZ Mutual is giant in the insurance industry in the United States and it is currently experiencing knowledge issues in some fields of their business and the most important field of them is Information Technology because the organization is unable to cope with the latest advancement in technology. I have tried to understand the main issue of the organization and in order to do that I have interviewed few employees in the organization and most of them feel that XYZ is lagging behind in IT in comparison to its competitors because there has been no recent advancement in the IT process of the organization.
As per the interviews conducted it I very clear that they believe that technology is the major concern but the organization has a very strong and effective training program which enable the employees and their knowledge in the insurance domain and that is the reason the organization is still doing good irrespective of the technology issue it possess. The organization need to act on the decisions it takes regarding technical advancement because that will serve them in the future. I believe that technology is important and hence there should be training regarding technology and advancement needs to be initiated so that the organization succeed in competing with its competitors.
