Question

0 Thread 17 of 22 1 Postis) in this Thread 0 Unrea 20 hours ago The media has aflected society because of all of its stereotypes of the different genders. When we look at males and females through media, all we see is stereotypes, for example, if you notioed in movies that the women are usually smiling and never angry while the men are always brave, tough, and angry. This shows society that these genders should be like this in reality. I think that the worst source of media that is the worst for stereotypes of genders is magazines; this is the worst because it makes female standards outrageous. All girls must be skinny, look perfect, and wear makeup. No one is perfoct but the media believes that all genders must be a certain way meaning guys should not be homosexual and girls must not be lesbian. uys shorde skinns The victoria secret magazines have caused harm to women because it shows that the girl must be perfect in order to wear their clothes because they don't sell anything above average size. There is a model that is plus size and she has made an image that all girfis respect women in the world and the other does because it limits women from using their product because it has standards The media is just a mirror of societal values because R copies our society and makes people on social media follow it and belileve it. If you see a video blown up it will most likely be a trend depending on the video, tis shows that once one person does it on tv or wherever, society Quote

Explanation / Answer

yes , i do agree to the statement. media has a great influence on people specially the children. although these days the roles in the various movies are interchanging and women are shown equivalent to men by being tiugh, smart and into action but still these cases are less and even jiin these movies the basic stereotype is still followed of women being more emotional and being skinny with perfect look and make up. magazines and fashion shows have always been very meaan and rude. i agree to the line that these are the worst sources of media as they have increased the cases of body shaming. by watching models being slim and beautiful people have been stereotyped that females are meant to be like and f they are not like this then they are imoerfect and should make an effort to become perfect. media creates a setting similar to our society along with all the stereotypes and these stereotypes which are present in the society are then strengthened when they are seen in the form of various media.
