(Answer) Diplomatic relations between countries are achieved by constantly exchanging services to fill the demand gap. Such countries need each other for their basic trade necessities. Such fair and free trade nations tend to form a union of sorts. This union facilitates economic development by exchanging commodities through a “quid pro quo.”

Also, such countries seek to protect each other as they would also be protecting their supplier of goods or services. This unity within a cluster of nations would surely intimidate enemy nations that might stand alone. Despite the sizes of armies, it would be essential to not be snubbed by clusters of nations in world councils. Maintaining a credible image within a world council would be beneficial for any nation in their time of need. Also, the leader that helps establish a good standing within such councils would technically ensure their country’s future if ever the need for council assistance might arrive.

In this way, a nation’s security is not only a matter of military might but, also through the maintenance of fair and cordial relationships with other nations that facilitate economic and mutual benefits.
