Mr. Williams teaches in the same type of classroom with students who are a year or two older than Ms. James’ students. In the given case. the classroom taken by Mr. Williams had a higher chance of acting out behaviour.

It has been mentioned that the group of students that both the teachers were handling had severe learning and behaviour problems. Therefore, the classes needed to be under continous supervision. Children with behaviour problems generally find it difficult to behave well in a group and hence in order to help them during stressful situations, the teacher needs to be present. Ms. James had a lesson plan with learning experiences which is the correct way of teaching such children. They need to have a class with specific projects, achievable tasks, supervised breaks and positve reinforcements. A supervised classroom makes them feel secure and comfortable.

Acting out happens when an emotion or feeling is suppressed. It is a child's attempt to show otherwise hidden emotions. Acting out can happen in the way of fighting, throwing tantrums, destructing properties and misbehaving. Many cases of acting out takes place because the child is suffering from a deeper emotion elsewhere. For example, a child might be abused at home and therefore acts out in school when he/she gets the chance.

In Mr. Williams' class he allows students for several 30 minute breaks which are minimally supervised. This would give children an oppotunity to act out their feelings and emotions on each other. Apart from the learning and behaviour problems that Mr. Williams' class suffers from, since they are of a higher age group, they might even act out as a way of seeking attention and impressing peers.

Therefore, the above case lets us come to the conclusion that the classroom taken by Mr. Williams has a higher chance of acting out than Ms. James.
