Think about the times when you had conflicting thoughts and feelings about something. For instance, helping a friend (I should do it vs I'm too lazy) or a job/volunteer opportunity (it sounds good, but my gut says “no."). (a) Describe two examples of conflicting thoughts/feelings. (b) what were your trads in each situation? (c) How did you decide what to do in each instance? (d) If you used the principles we've talked about in class, what would you do differently today and why? (e) What have you learned about yourself by doing this reflection paper?Explanation / Answer
There was an opportuity in my job to accept a higher promotion and move onto the other division. It was an opportunity that not many would refuse.i had this thought of conflict and feeling that if i moved to the division it would mean more work to do,meeting some severe deadlines, going home late and leaving early for work.it would be a compromise on my family. This conflicting thought between the higher position ,higher salary and benefits and home life put me in a dilemma. The other conflicting thoughts were when were to have guests at my house.I wanted time off to take a vacation when i heard guests were coming over.I had to make a choice whether to refuse or carry on with my vacation.
