1. continuum of developemnt gives the skills which children are expected to acquire while devloping. it includes social, emotional, phyical, cognitive and communicational development. it is a set of outcomes.
2. developmental milestones are the physical skills seen in children while developing. walking, crawling etc are developmental milestones. they are important as they progress in a universal manner for all normal children and they help us to know how a child is performing when compared to others of the same age group as it varies with age. if a child misses the milestone or loses the ability fter reeaching him it can be observed and doctors assistance can be seeked in time for the same. hence milestones and its knowledge is important
3. red flags are the warning signs of devlopmmental delay. as a child prigresses and develops at his own pace and it is variant for all the children in the world. hence it becomes difficult to track the developmental delay. the need for reed flags arises here as they are used as warning signs so that earlly intervention can be proviided as its the most effective and optimal towards developmental outcomes.
