1. Aristotle's theory of golden means propagates that the right value or action is the one that is the mean of two extreme reactions in any situation. Let us take matters related to course. Say, a person is getting angry because another person near him is doing something wrong. If the person goes and fights for that, then he is courageous, but if he doesn't, then he's a coward. The right thing to do in this situation is analyze the situation and losses for oneself and then either react or not react. Let us consider the virtue of giving. There are 2 extremities- not giving even when you can and giving even when you can't. But the right thing to do is giving when you can. These two situations are examples for golden mean.
