Explanation / Answer
I have shown considerable growth in the area of cross transference, that is, not guiding their experience with my own, and having a professional yet emptaetic environment, and mainting objectivity.
I still need to develop my expertise in the areas of having self care and not internalizing many aspects of the client and patients, which affects me in the long run. Practice of desensitization is still required.
My rapport building is in its rudimentary stages, but I still can push an extra mile in order to build greater and faster rapprts with the patients, which can further hone and improve my skills with patients and make the intervention more effective.
Many a time, the intervention does not go as planned for the family is ineffective in supporting the client self morale with respect to their intervention and attempts. This has happened frequently wherein the family refuses to corporate, and does not instill their belief in the client.
In these situations what I could have done, would be a family group session and an individual sessions with the family members in order to explain to them the consequences and the benefits of their mutual cooperation
This further helped me build on my rapport skills as I needed to extend my repertoire to beyond the clients in order to have an effective plan.
