Question
The purpose of this study was to determine both the knowledge and consumption of folic acid in college-aged women at a Midwestern university.
A 15-question survey was developed for use in the study. The instrument included three demographic items (age, race, marital status), knowledge of folic acid, use of multivitamins, use of fortified cereal, childbearing plans, and if applicable, use of folic acid during previous pregnancies. The survey instrument utilized close-ended questions.
Results indicated that 68% of participants did not possess adequate knowledge about folic acid. A significant difference in knowledge was found between those participants that had delivered zero children, one child, and two children. Furthermore, only 30% of participants in this study indicated they took multivitamins daily.
Plan the qualitative research by writing your responses in the spaces under each of the three sections below.
Section A
State four research question(s):
Section B
What qualitative data collection techniques and procedures would you use? Describe your techniques and procedures in detail:
Section C:
How would you establish trustworthiness? State and explain each technique.

Explanation / Answer
The four research questions-
Does folic acid consumption increase with increasing the age of people?
What are the significant amount and knowledge of folic acid concerning among races?
What after marriage, folic acid consumption and knowledge regarding its uses, increase?
What are the effects of folic acid in those who are consuming and have consumed during their pregnancies?
The three qualitative data collection techniques-
Vacutainer- Collection of blood samples- collecting through Sodium Fluoride / Potassium Oxalate vials.
Radioimmunoassay- To calculate folic acid or Calculation of serum folate we use radioimmunoassay technique.
Data recording software- The recording of data requires an accurate technique like MS office Excel that helps in storing and expressing the data successfully.
We can establish trustworthiness through following ways-
