Question

If you grew up in a town that could best be described as small, mostly relatives, pretty isolated from different types of people or a huge, melting pot, different cultures on almost every corner -- how did that prepare you for a transition to the real world of work?

What are some of the differences in waking up in a very different place after years in a more sheltered environment? What was hard to get used to? How did you cope? What made sense? What did not?

Or growing up in a large city where diversity was already a way of life. Any surprises from the opposite side -- resistance among some people to dealing with other cultures and diverse peoples, etc?

Let's talk here about some real world adjustments that you have made in the work force. Or if you haven't entered the work force yet, what you recognize as things that might be tough or challenging to you based on your upbringing.
Discuss this in approximately 250 words.

Explanation / Answer

Being isolated into a particular fixed environment or grew in a small town will require time to prepare for the transition in the real world. The transition is basically the process, work culture and some dealings with the outside world that changes a lot to deal with anything in the real world. From the point of diversity, it is necessary to accept and mix up with the people with several unique ideas or culture which will help you to deal with the solutions to make better workforce and innovative workplace.

The difference is the change or habits which are required altering at every point, as for so many years leaving in the sheltered environment it will initially become quite hard to adopt the different cultures or working with people, but if it is accepted a new way of implementing a better tomorrow can be achieved.

The hard part will be accepting others cultures in the workplace as it is quite difficult to adjust to the environment but it requires making it for structuring something even better than yesterday. New people will have the sense/ideas of new diversity for inspiring solutions to the problem which will help the organization to implement more in the process of setting objectives.

There are lot aspects to explore into that field which will really make sense for performing better, but if the culture is not accepted then it will discrete from the vision which is not recommended, may be a change in the environment will need time but it will take hardly some days to adopt the culture.

There are another aspects for the people growing up in a large city, the advantage of mix up in the diversity is quite familiar and it can be said that it is the way of life to deal with the challenging aspects to make the process even better.

The surprising part is the people from small towns or used to live in the sheltered environment are generally faces problems or require time to adopt the change of culture or to accept the diversities for implementing better. The large city people surprises as sometimes when they see that people of small towns are lagging into accepting others cultures instead of it will make their own life live better. It is surprising for them, as some of them get used to and others unable to adopt this change, this is the reason many faces issues to challenge the situation with any culture which can make their life better.
