Information Technology (IT), Managed Information System (MIS) and the Internet of Things (IOT) can be considered as the technological paradigms which have happened in the business environment. These technological paradigms have also impacted the social as well as the professional life of the people in different ways.

When considering the global society, the influence of the technological paradigms is huge. The life style of the people hugely depends of the technological advancements. For example the social media is the modern technological advancement which has been accepted by the global society. The IT enables the society to collaborate and interact freely regardless of the geographical limits. The introduction of the smart phones, messaging apps etc has enabled effective communication within the society. The managed information system has enabled an effective business and communication within the society which has enabled an effective accessibility of the products and services in the global market. The internet on things like the remote sensing, etc has enhanced the standard of living of the public and also the connivance.

The implementation of the Information Technology has a major role in supporting the current job. Consider the current job of the marketing executive. The implementation of the MIS has enabled the marketing executive to store, access and update the details of the customers and the information regarding the customers effectively. This enables the executive to perform his job effectively. The technologies like the instant messaging systems has enabled him to communicate with his supervisors, peers etc even though he is in field visits or with the customers.

The knowledge of IT is very important for any individual to excel in his or her career. The primary reason behind is that the technology is ruling the business environment and the lack of technological knowledge will impact the individual’s competitive advantage.
