Explanation / Answer

Lupus is an autoimmune disorder which causes chronic inflammation to various parts of body like joints, skin and also some visceral organs.

1.statistical prevalence

It is mostly observed i,e about 50% in age group above 50 years next to 40 years

The recent studiesrevealed that men are mostly prone to this disease than women because men are mostly effected by genetically transferred diseases. But there is an exception in case of systemic lupus disease that women get this most likely than men.

2.it is distributed in the tropical region people and mostly because of their genes. Less seeen in countries like America.

3.main cause is the unavailability ofimmune system to identify the antigens and antibodies

They cause the severe pain in the areas of inflammation and it has itseffect on heart and lungs

People with lupus experience severefatigue 'skin rashes' ,pain in joints and weight loss. Even reduced blood count is observed

3. This is economically burden to individual and society as it requires great care and uninterrupted treatment

Possible cost for an individual is upto $1960 per month

Loss of productivity is observed because it isalso sex related disease and decreased productivity due to impaired immune system

ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY /ETIOLOGY

95% of lupus patients contains anti nuclear antibodies (ANAwhich effects the nuclear material of the cell and some also possess anti phospholipid antibodies which effects protein structure of cell

These causes risk factors during pregnancy also cause blood clots , heart attack.

The t cells of bodyrecognise our own body cells as antibodies and start killing them.

Diagnosis ofdisease cannot be done by single test and includes multiple tests like blood test also by symptoms like relapses, flares , remissions and some laboratory tests like skin biopsy , protein in urine, fluid around the heart and lungs

. Treatment involves the NSAIDS (non steroidal anti inflammatorydrugs) to relieve pain , antimalarial drugs to relieve fatigue and joint pain, finally corticosteroids

Traditional methods like chemotherapy is employed .

This disease risk factors and progression is predictedusing recurrent neural network (RNN) as a machine learning technique.

Conclusion; lupusis is a chronic autoimmune disorder existing in majority of group and prevention is possible by gene therapy and although the risk factors are more and difficulty in identifying there are some available treatments.

It is more important to balance the hormones and to consult a multispecialist like dermatologist, hematologist, cardiologist etc
