The picture clearly shows that the contestant is in a dangerously precarious situation with his/her neck being broken. The sheep also looks like he ain’t doin’ too good either. Fortunately, medical staff were immediately available to assist in properly caring for the contestant and preparing them for air transport to the hospital.

Prior to the event, the contestant was evaluated to make sure that they had no prior medical ailments that might increase their likelihood of injury. In addition, the contestant was fitted with PPE that included a helmut, protective leather vest/jacket, and made to wear boots, jeans, and a long-sleeved shirt. Training for the contestant included safe hand holds on the sheep and some Dos and Don’ts. Such as, Do let go if you are under the sheep. Or, Don’t bite or kick the sheep.

But the circumstances resulted in the contestant being hurt, severely. Even with long-term consequences.
