Explanation / Answer

ANSWER 1.

The person is unable to walk properly. Loss of balance has also been observed. This means that the brain areas which control body balance have been injured and affected.

Note that cerebellum is the brain region related with body balance; so you can say that cerebellum is the region that has been affected in case of this patient. The cerebellum is a region of the brain present below the cerebrum; you can imagine it at the back side of your head. All functions related to body balance including muscular contractions are under the control of cerebellum.

A part of body’s walking action is controlled by the cerebrum also. So, it is suspected that a small part of cerebrum, involving frontal lobe may also be affected.
