2) ADH or Vasopressin is secreted by the hypothalamus and it is converted into argine vasopressin AVP and enter into the circulation directly from posterior part of pituitary gland.The main function of ADH is to increase the blood pressure by acting two ways.

First it increases the amount of water reabsorbtion in the kidney thus making more fluid in the body and it contricts the vessels increases the peripheral vascular resistance that carries blood whicn inturn raises the blood pressure.

One more function is important role in social behaviour, bonding, and emotions which is controlled by hypothalamus.
