i need detailed answer for this
Question 4 (10 pts): Imaging On Blackboard (file Question4 Images), you were given three images: A, B and C. Using those images, answer the following questions: IrDescribe the figure in (A) with respect to modality (MR or CT), and if MRI, the type of sequence (TI or T2) 2. There is clearly an abnormality in (A). Based upon your knowledge of ncuroanatomy, and the appearance of various types of biological matter, describe what this abnormality is. 8. Describe the figure in (B) with respect to modality (MR or CT), and if MRI, the type of sequence (T1 or T2) 4. There is an abnormality in (B). Describe the abnormality using three general descriptors. Consider size, location, and appearance. 5. Describe the figure in (C) with respect to modality (MR or CT), and if MRI, the type of sequence (TI or T2). 6. There is an abnormality in (C). Identify the abnormality. Is this the best imaging method for this kind of abnormality? If not, what imaging technique would you use and why?Explanation / Answer
1. The first image represent supratentorial low grade gliomas in children.
In case of CT or MR, LCG may be hypodense or isodense to normal brain and also reflects their low cellularity. Some of tumors about 30% show calcifications and constrast enchancement present only on 20% area.
In case of MRI, as it is an idealistic method for diagnosis for MRI. The tumor vasculaturization, cellularity, infiltration inaddition to metabolism and proliferation can all be visualized. On MRI these LCG can be visualised as well defined masses that are low signal on T1 and high signal on T2 and also produce little case of edema.
2. The scans image shows that a cystic tumor in occipital lobe with an enhancing mural nodule.
3.Incase of CT or MRI, LCG may also contain some level of cellularity and LCG from hypodense to isodense to normal brain.
In case of MRI, the tumor vasculature, cellulalarity and vasculature in addition to poliferation and metabolism can be visualised.in case of LCG they can be visualised as masses and low signal on T1 and high signal on T2.
4. The scan shows that ,T 1 weighted and T2 weighted and also flair images of SEGA, and flair images showing extension of tumor in addition to abnormalities that are not visible on T2. It also measures the growth rate of these tumors.
