2.T cells are thymus derived cells and B cells are bone marrow derived cells are the major cellular components of the adaptive immunity. These cells are types of lymphocytes along with phagocytes.

Function :T cells are involved in cell mediated immunity. B cells are responsible for humoral immunity. Both during antigen presentation identifies the non self antigen .A T cells type helper T cells produces an enzyme cytokines that helps in directing immune response. Another type of T cells called cytotoxic cells produces granules that contain enzymes capable of inducing death of the infected cell. B cells in response to pathogens produces antibodies which neutralizes foreign bodies like bacteria or viruses.
