3.The normal glucose concentration of urine is 3.9-5.5mmol/L. A urine glucose test measures the level of glucose or sugar in urine. Glucose is a type of sugar that body requires and uses for energy.

4.The plasma glucose concentration above which significant glucosuria occurs is called renal threshold for glucose which is 180mg/dL and its value ranges below or above the normal. In diabetic patients the value is reported to vary from 54-300mg/dL. Value greater than 25mg/dL is considered as pathologic and they are done by semiquantitative urine tests.
