Training professionals are aware of the training implications. The training programs are always directed towards improving the skills, knowledge, quality of life, and attitude of trainees. Training employee and ensuring a reliable performance out of the training depends on the kind of training and it's direct or indirect impact on the organizational performance. According to Goldstein, 1993, learning based training improves performance and it bridges the gap between the current and desired level of performance. Training need assessment and its importance on performance should be first analysed. This can be done by ensuring the training fills the training gap by asking questions like is the training important? what is the immediate and later benefits? what are the consequences of the training? The training should be provided internally or externally? In how many days or months are we expecting results?. Expert Trainers, proper training modules, clarity of organizational objectives and training expectations, training aids can fill the training gap. At my work environment, employees were getting obselete as the new skills have taken over the market. Other companies were using R, SAS, and other analysis tools for data analysis but in our organization we were using Excel. In order to pace up with the market trends, we were provided training on R and SAS. The immediate results were there as with the data available to us, we inferred that we were lagging in few issues and we resolved it. It immediately helped in admissions of students.
