1. Situation: First day at a new school/college/workplace. Entering a room full of the people I will be interacting with most often from now on.

2. Possible thoughts/feelings: Anxiety, restlessness, some sadness, some excitement, nervousness, pressure about making a good impression, curiosity.

3. Affirmation: I am a little uncomfortable, but that is because I want to make a good impression on the new people here. I am curious about the new environment. I am a little anxious, but that's okay - it's only natural. Most people would feel this way. I am excited about this new opportunity/phase in my life. I will be fine after I get to know them well. Everything is okay. I can do this.
