These are ungraded. For MACBETH - Who do you think is the most interesting character in the play, and why? AND For RAISIN IN THE SUN - Do you think this play, written 50+ years ago, is still relevant today? Why or why not?Explanation / Answer
1. Macbeth
The most interesting character is lady Macbeth for me. She is the most complicated character to me. She completely dominates the plot. She controls Macbeth's thoughts as well as actions. With her words, she influences Macbeth to be a greedy man from a loyal man and makes him turn col hearted. She has been given utmost importance in the plot, and that is very evident from the way she says that she would do it herself and , this instigates the first two acts of the story. She influences Macbeth such that he is completely persuaded by her ideas and actions and thus makes the act where Macbeth goes to kill Duncan in his sleep.
2. Raisin in the sun
Raisin in the sun is still relevant. Thee are many people in the world who have aspirations which are still to come true. For the time there would be people on the planet, who dream and want to fulfill those dreams, such poems will still be relevant. Even today there are people who live in poor conditions and they only have dreams to enjoy, without being able to actually achieve them.
