In the article “New Vision for the blind”. She visited a sweatshops, factories with overcrowded and congested people in New York and Washington . Because of her situation couldn’t see what was going on the locality but rather sensed the dirtyness, nastiness by her sense of smell and her touching sense as well. Because of her advanced knowledge in critical thinking wanted the children and adults to throw their childish thinking aside but rather be mindful thinking individuals . People should not only think for the progress and success of themselves but rather stretch hands to help the poor as well. People are not to thinks of things that later will be harmful to them but rather obscure from such arts . The part I would like to emphasize a little on it is when she quote” Foundation of society is laid on the foundation of individualism, conquest and exploitation, with the total disregard of the good of the whole” (paragraph 5) . The reason behind why people are not critical thinkers and follows but that of materialistic and is that they are too detached to them to the extent of them not letting them go and can also be the influence of peer pressure as well. Such people tends to be timid and live a life of neglect ,misery, unhappiness,feeling pompous and discomfort in their personal self, whereas that of people who looks to the wellbeing of themselves, society and people and being reasonable mind thinkers and intelligent tends be cheerful, happy, and sorrowful heart and stress free and achieves success in anything he/ she places forward in life. People of such character also helps built a better society for future generations to learn as well as have hope for the future . Every individual must be a creative thinker not only by gaining a productive life and rising the community embedding courage,vision and prosperity unto people and lifting up the community for a brighter future. Helen Keller, a famous American Literature of all times lost the ability to see and hear in her adolescence. She was devoid of sounds, thoughts and emotions thereafter. However, though she was visually impaired, she did not feel dejected but as matter of fact she indulged in her passion for writing. She went all guns blazing and achieved greater heights in life and did amazingly well in her endeavours. Her disability did not stop her. For her article 'New Vision for the blind', she visited sweatshops, factories in New York and Washington which were overcrowded and congested. Though she could not see because of her impairment but she sensed the muskiness around the place. She was a critical thinker who saw logic behind things and their repurcussions. She wanted the adults and children around to be more responsible themselves. I reckon people should not only think of their respective progress and success but also should extend hands to help the less fortunate. I would like to bring forth the quote by her that majorly impressed me, "Foundation of society is laid on the foundation of individualism, conquest and exploitation, with the total disregard of the good of the whole” paragraph 5). The reason why people are not critical thinkers and are after materialistic things is because they are detached from the reality and refuse to come out of it. They are unhappy within themselves. People who focus on individualism and well-being of themselves and others, they tend to be a lot happier and satisfied with their lives. They feel content. They learn to be happy and live a stress free life which helps them reach greater heights in life. Such individuals make society a better place to live and build hope for a better future for the generations to come.
