Explanation / Answer
The important insights I received from understanding self-esteem the understanding of the concept as the interpretation and remembrance of one's past actions, behaviours, decisions, successes and failures. How an individual perceives these events is important in understanding how they will be used to ultimately decide how they would decide to define themselves.
On the other hand, self efficacy is the belief that one has in his or her own abilities to accomplish mastery over a very specific task or a set of closely related task. Although self esteem and self efficacy measure separate human constructs, they extent an interrelation among one another.
Listing out how one would perceive common incidents (as positive or negative) can assist in understanding the overall self esteem of the perception. From looking at the negative perspectives, one can introspect upon them and change they way they are thinking about it - thus relabelling the situation. This is a technique to enhance self esteem. For self efficacy, breaking down difficult task into steps, watching and observing those who perform a task well and creating details plans of action can push indivials to master a task completely.
