Now think about the material we have covered in class. What aspects from prior genres can you find in the music you love today? How does your favorite band or artist incorporate these same ideas?

HINT: The similarities between the music of before and the music you love today should surprise you! It goes much deeper than just the use of dynamics, rhythm, or tempo. Think about what aspects set each genre apart. How does history differentiate between, say, something from the classical era and something from the baroque? THOSE are the aspects you want to search for. Demonstrate that you can apply what you have learned.
