Introduction: Child psychology is a specialty in professional psychology that develops and applies scientific knowledge to the delivery of psychological services to infants, toddlers, children and adolescents within their social context. (American Psychological Association)

As I studied child psychology understood the basic psychological needs of children and adolescents, and how the family and other social contexts influence the socio-emotional adjustment, cognitive development, behavioral adaption and health status of children and adolescents. I love children so always eager to know the psychology of children and adolesecents. For the purpose I downloaded the app namely ; "Parenting Challenge". In which I was received one question daily about the behavior of a child and parents reaction. I get more interested, so decided to study the child psychology formally. Earlier this course I was thought about child psychology means " to love the children", behave with children in very polite manner, don't scold them, don't give punishment them., and that's it. But in spite of love and affection I saw so many children behaving badly, later (after study the childhood psychology) they developed with oppositional defiant disorder or conduct disorder. I was really amazed how it is possible that a child may prone to antisocial behavior in spite of parents love, care, attention, presentation. Then I came to know child psychology is so vast, it cover's children physical, cognitive and social emotional development. How children learn, think interact and respond emotionally to those around them, make friends, understand emotions and their own developing personalities, temperaments and skills. Children typically reach developmental milestones. These milestones reflect abilities such as walking and talking that are achieved by most children at similar ages, among other things we are interested in trying to explain how children reach these milestones and how individual, social and cultural factors may influence the development.
Throughout the course I learned the assessment and treatment of a wide range of interrelated biological, psychological and social problems experienced by children and adolescents that include
I saw many children suffering with various psychological abnormalities or behavioral problems, and their parents are just ignoring, because they are not aware. They only know to love the children and provide them every best thing which they demand. I saw many children with specific learning disability but parents are forcing them to complete the course instead of changing the stream. They say everyone has to take efforts, so their child has to take in the stream which parents want. I saw so many children are ignoring the parents, misguiding them, showing aggression etc. Then I decided to pursue va career in child psychology, where I can contribute in rehabilitation of problem children, teaching learning techniques to children with specific disabilities. Divert the children of oppositional defiant disorder or conduct disorder through cognitive behavioral approach. Knew the Bandura's theory of modeling and came to know these are parents who are responsible in shaping the behavior of a child. So if a child is aggressive parents should evaluate themselves. Now I can use the attained knowledge of learning, reinforcement, conditioning from this course to overcome the fear of a specific thing, to encourage or promote any pro social behavior and negative reinforcement, punishment to decrease an unwanted behavior.
