Feudalism was a cincept which is a combination of legal and military customs in medieval Europe. It bascially structures the society around relationships. It was the model of government which gave birth to the modern nation-state. In feudalism, a military hierarchy is made, in which a ruler offers mounted fighters a piece of land to control in exchange for a military service.

Feudalism has increased the concept of lords and serfs. Basic effects of Feudalism were that the Nobles became responsible for the protection of their vassals and serfs. The manor became an agricultural estate which is operated by the lord and worked by the peasants who sustained the land and drove the economy.
