This is indeed a soap opera and there doesnt seem to be ethical relationships followed in any of these relationships.This could be due to the family upbringing and past experiences of each one of them.In the case of Holden ,he did not be a support to his wife as his wife wans undergoing treatment.He did not want to accpet responsiblity and found an escapism from this relationship.The relationships have been very stable in every caseThere has been an element of id involved as they did not look into justifying their actions.The right and wrong did not stop them,they just did what they felt was good for them.This kind of family happenings is not only found in the US but world wide in all cultures .This has to do a lot with the environment they are living in not related to the country.However in certain cultures there is a strong bondage of family values such that even in the most difficult circumstances there is unity among them.This type of family exists in rare circumstances where there is lot of money and power involved and some countries do not have gun licensing so as to prevent such incidents.
