Question

The key obstacle that halts me from being an effective being on my phone&stalling. As we all know, phones represent the number one distraction in the world, especially for our generation. When I get home from school, I tend to monitor my social media, how much money is in my bank, watch updated youtube videos I missed, and etc. It distracts me from learning and receiving my assignments done on time. For hours I would merely be scrolling going through the same four social media sites looking at what I missed for the day, or need to catch up on. Along with that follows my procrastination which ties in with me being on my phone. I'll use my phone to stall more by saying, "Oh snap it's 4:30, ok I'll watch the rest of this video and start at 5:00 o'clock." About time I finally start to place my phone down. It's already 6:45 pm. I get adrift in the track of time by putting off more time, to merely examine another video or check my social media platform. I can overcome these overwhelming obstacles by placing my phone down completely when I get home or turn it off until I am finished with my school work. The other way I can fix it is by just taking a mini phone break every other 30min, while I am completing homework to allow my mind to relax and take a break. The advice I would give is what the book said on page 52 "Determine what to manage." Wisely determine what to do properly and not to do as you first start your freshman year, it severely impacts the critical decisions you make along the way. Scarcely manage your phone & assignment schedule in minor order to balance precariously both.

Explanation / Answer

I agree with the views of this essay that phone comes in my way of being an effective manager. We are hooked on to the phone for one or another reason such getting in touch with people using social media, using phone banking, watching YouTube videos.

The advice I would give to such a person is to make an effort to balance the schedule when it comes to the use of phone and academics for example.
