Explanation / Answer

Non-verbal communication has the same or more importance as the verbal communication during a communication process. One of the most important non-verbal communication, I understand from the reading is eye-contact. It is used to identify one’s confidence level during a communication process. People who do not make eye-contact are not confident of either their language or their content. Secondly, one’s posture, may it be sitting or standing, determines one’s attitude towards the communication in question. Thirdly, one’s ability to exhibit appropriate gestures during the communication process strengthens one’s argument. Apart from these, one should also take care of one’s appearance, smile etc. to make a greater impact or in order to succeed in one’s communication.
