The law is important because it forms the lives we live. It shapes t he and forbids certain types of behaviors. For those who think the law isn't important are behind bars in prison or on death row. Psychology is needed in law. It is needed when verdicts are made or when punishment is being decided. What the people consider fair or unfair is all psychology. Whether the people decide to give a rapist 3 month in probation or 15 years in state prison. It's questioning if the criminal could change after their sentencing, it is all psychological. That is the relationship between psychology and law. Psychologist play a good strong role in the legal system. They are needed to decided if someone meets the legal definition of insanity or if they are competent to stand trial. They are needed to selected a jury or for preparing a witness. They are needed for expert advice on specific or more general topics Reply

A. Law and psychology are two different disciplines but share significant similarities. While psychology’s purpose is to interpret behavior and the law’s purpose is to monitor it. However both the disciplines make hypotheses about what makes people respond the way people do. Many psychologists investigate how to enhance the legal system.

Psychology and laws play the very crucial role in the society because it is the human psychology that how they respond to the laws are implemented which could protect the interest of the citizens. They will punish those individuals who do not adhere. Moreover, psychology's role in the legal system is most important because the offenders served the punishment according to their psychological behavior. Psychologists are needed moreover for presenting the factual shreds of evidence and advice in the legal system.

B. Psychology and Laws are distinct fields but they both share the same goal of helping the societies. In the ancient times, the necessity of implementing the psychological theories in the legal system was not understood. However, the modern times witness the rational interpretation of psychological theories for deciding the punishment of offenders.

Psychology plays two important roles in the Legal system.

First, Witness is the most important role which psychology plays in the Legal system to present the testimonies. However, final decisions left with the judge's decisions whether or not the testimonies are accepted.

Second, Psychology also important because it acts to clarify the research pertaining to the court to makes the legal system efficient.
