Summary of the case:
1. Jack and Jill are employees at ladeedah and they work as a team in developing a variety of computer applications in ladeedah university at medical center and they receive a compensation for their work developing these products, they techinaclly are ladeedah property because they were done as part regular job activities.
2. Late one afternoon as Jack is leaving work, Jack learns that someone in another part of the university has repackaged their billing system program for several practices, Everyone has left for the day, so jack e-mails jill who is out in vacation in another time zone to find out if she knew anything abouit this, she hasn’t heard about this.
3. They dont really know exactly what is going on but they think that they are getting the short end of the stick and that ladeedah is taking advantage of them. Being very upset about this jack decides to send and e-mail to his good buddy, charlie, the VP of information systems.
4. Jack’s tone was very offendabble in E-Mail and several words he used in messages as well.
5. Charlie asks jack that he has taken his medication and also asked will you use the same tone with housecleaning lady. Jack now feels he was questioned personally and charlie's questions and comments were inappropriate.
6. The legal counsel reiterates that ladeedah rights are and indicates that the software modifications were minor and informs jack and jill that they wil be compensated for the use of their software, While jack and jill have none of this in writing from ladeedah university or from the legal counsel they should trust them.
7. After few days jack sends a apology E-Mmail to charlie, Jack states he was wrong and he shouldn't react in the way he reacted and also apologies for the use of bad language and promises it will never repeat again.
8. Charlie didn't respond to jack E-Mmail and instead that charlie writes back as he and jack have been socially see each other very good even then henow dont want him to be social with him out of business interactions
9. Jill shuts down the E-Mails thinking that sometimes you are lucky enough to literally be in a different time zone and out of the fray, She realises that the electronic and verbal communication that went back and forth led to all hell breaking loose of friendship being damaged and feelings being hurt and bridges being burned

1 Ans: Jack and Jill mistake is that they didn't found the perfect way to react on the respective situation. Before knowing the entire situation and pros and cons of it they choose to react in an unsophisticated manner which mislead to the barriers and ruined the entire scenario.
2 Ans: Ladeedah and charlie could try in making a note of the scenario and contact them and let Jack and Jill know it before taking any steps and they also even try to make an apology note for them to avoid the conflicts.
