Despite the loss of so much of their historical settlement areas, Native Americans struggle to achieve environmental justice. Discuss your thoughts, and ideas for improvement.Explanation / Answer
Native americans are basically known as red indian. America is a resourceful country and it has enjoyed an enriched history of all the natural resources.
USA is also a country of immigrants. It is also known as land of opportunity. People come here for better future. People from various countries have become setteled in USA.
This creates extra burden on natural resources. This also creates competition among native americans and immigrants. Native americans sometimes feel depressed and dejected due to all these.
They were willing for a fair distribution of resources, so government came up with new laws and a new agency named as "Environmental Protection Agency".
Main function of this organisation is to ensure equal distribution of resources and curbing of pollution. Fixation of responsibities for causing pollution is also its main motto.
Despite such efforts there are lots of anamolies. Native americans take their rights on natural resources with great pride and try to grab the opportunities with injustice and unlawful force. Recent incidents of violence against indians can be seen as consequences of such activities.
Equal and effective law making is must for avoiding such situations. Then only USA will become land of opportunities in real sense.
