Jaina monks and nuns give up many comforts in their lives as a part of their religious practice. Imagine that you lived for one week as a Jaina monk or nun – what do you think would be most difficult aspect of an ascetic lifestyle?
Explanation / Answer
Jain nuns give up all their worldly comforts. They walk barefoot, have one meal a day, spend their time meditating, sleep on floor, possess only two things their robes and three wooden handmade bowls for collecting water. The most difficult aspect of this ascetic life style would be to walk barefoot all around. The other difficult thing for me is to go without water between sunset and sunrise.
