1. Your company wants to determine the level of satisfaction with its customer service department. A random sample of 500 people out of 2,000 who had contacted customer service in the first six months of 2018 were asked to respond to the following statement: I was satisfied with the assistance that I received from customer service.

Answer:

Most of the customers are satisfied with the service according to this survey.

As technique of data collection was random sampling, everyone, thus had the same chance of getting surveyed. This survey that's why, can represent the whole customer base.

Ordinal scale of measurement was used for the data collection. Out of 500, 425 was satisfied with the service, which is 85% satisfaction. Only 35 out of 500 was dissatisfied, that means only 9% was dissatisfied with the service. This data clearly shows the high satisfaction level of customer service.
