(Answer) (1) Jensen and Tuckman’s model of Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing seems to be the fundamental model of almost every group project. During a class presentation, the primary stage would be to form a group, this is the forming stage. The second would be brain-storming for ideas, concepts and formulating a format and content for the presentation. The third stage would be coming up with norms and assigning or delegating tasks to each individual. The rules, the structure of work and norms are decided in this stage. The final stage would be performing, where the content and ideas are delivered in a manner that is optimal to achieving the target.

(2) A proactive team is generally one with a leader who assigns task-oriented goals and develops a smooth functioning team. Above all, a successful team is generally were the members are comfortable with each other’s acquaintance and the work environment. The work environment should not be intimidating or hamper one’s confidence. The tasks need to be equally delegated based on one’s abilities and skill set. Also, members of the team should share a common affinity or camaraderie in the workplace. This leads to a comfort level that helps the members produce the best results.
