During second meiotic division, sister chromatids from each diploid cell separates to form haploid gamets. Cohesion between sister chromatids is released thereby segregating them separately.

In Metaphase II, Spindle fibers attach to kinetochore of each centromere. And thereby chromosomes are alligned along equitorial plate.

As the segregation of chromatids is yet to take place, there will be complete set of chromosomes.

Hence, 46 chromosomes lined up in 23 pairs.
