1). Alveolar cells are lined by squamous epithelium membrane and capillaries are lined by endothelial membrane , taken them together, the alveoli and capillaries forms a respiratory membrane that allows gases to pass through simple diffusion and allowing oxygen to be picked up by the blood for the transport and carbon dioxide is to be released into air of alveoli.
2). Simple squamous epithelium membrane are only membrane consists of thin, elastic cells which allows the easy exchange of molecules, gases etc, and the endothelial membrane that lined capillaries that reduces friction and allow for smooth flow.
3). Marfan syndrome affects connective tissue ,this tissue supports our body organs and other structures of the body. It is an inherited disorder. If delicate structures like aorta is affected, the condition can become life threatening. This disorder is caused by defect in the gene that enables the protein that helps give connective tissue it's strength and elasticity. Marfan syndrome can affect almost any part of our body cause cardiovascular complications, eye complications, skeleton complications ( abnormal size of arms and legs) , complications in pregnancy.
4). Collagen are the molecules that provides elasticity and strength to connective tissues. Collagenopathy is a disorder that affects type II and type XI collagen ,because these two types of collagen are component of cartilage found in joints, All the collagen molecules consists of three types of protein strands , mutuation in these strands reduces the amount of these two collagen . Reduction in collagen can affect the development of bones as well as joints, causing the symptoms of type II and type XI collagenopathies.
